Bathe under the stars
This large outdoor onsen allows visitors to experience the seasons' beauty while enjoying a relaxing soak. The spacious baths are close to the center of Kusatsu Onsen, at the edge of the Sainokawara Park.
These open-air baths are also open in the evenings, so you can relax in the healing waters while gazing up at the stars.
There are separate baths for men and women, but the men's facilities are open for mixed bathing every Friday. During this time, bathers can wear swimsuits and enjoy the hot springs together.
Women's baths are always exclusively open to women.

The men's bath is used for mixed bathing on Fridays from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (The women's bath remains women-only as usual.) You can bring your own bathing suit or rent one (free for men, 400 yen for women, not available for children).
