Manza is a popular getaway in all seasons, with onsen resorts, ski areas, and beautiful mountain views. Enjoy hiking in the warmer months and snow activities in winter. Manza is close to Kusatsu and accessible from Tokyo by a combination of shinkansen and bus.
You can reach Manza Onsen in less than 3 hours by train and bus from Tokyo Station. Guests of the Manza Prince Hotel can take a free shuttle bus from Karuizawa Station to the hotel (reservations required). The Hokuriku Shinkansen runs from Tokyo Station to Karuizawa Station in around 70 minutes.
If you are not staying at the Manza Prince Hotel, or there are no available seats on the shuttle bus, you can take a Seibu Kanko Bus from the north exit of Karuizawa Station to Manza Bus Terminal, then transfer to a free shuttle bus to the hotel. You can also reach Manza Onsen via Takasaki Station. Take a shinkansen to Takasaki Station, then transfer to a local train to Manza-Kazawaguchi Station. From the station, take a Seibu Kanko Bus to Manza Bus Terminal.
