Cozy onsen with different temperature baths
Otakinoyu is an onsen in Kusatsu. Bathe in baths of gradually escalating temperatures. These "awaseyu" style baths are unique to Kusatsu. They range from a comfortable 38 degrees to an intensely hot 46 degrees Celsius. Each is filled with sulfur-rich water from the nearby Nikawa spring. This method is purported to be the secret to clear, healthy skin.
This beautiful wooden facility also houses open-air baths and a sauna, partitioned for men and women. Private baths for families and couples are available for an extra charge.
