These impressive waterfalls in the lush Katashina Gorge are 7 meters high and 30 meters wide. Paths alongside the falls provide up-close views of the water as it cuts through the gorge and cascades downstream. The falls are accessible by train and bus from Tokyo via Jomo-Kogen or Takasaki stations.
The Fukiware no Taki Falls are accessible by train and bus in around 2 hours and 30 minutes from Tokyo, via Jomo-Kogen Station. From Jomo-Kogen Station, take a bus bound for Oze Tokura and get off at the Fukiware no Taki Bus Stop. From there it is a short walk to reach the falls. Alternatively, you can take a train to Takasaki Station, transfer to the Joetsu Line to Numata Station, and then take a bus to the falls. This route is slightly cheaper, but takes about 20 minutes longer.
