Ikaho Open-Air Bath

伊香保露天風呂

Last updated: December 21, 2020

A mineral-rich outdoor onsen fed directly from the source

Breathe cool mountain air while taking a dip in Ikaho Onsen’s open-air bath.

The bath is fed by water directly from the source, which emerges as a brownish-red, iron-rich water called “Kogane no Yu," meaning "golden water." This is one of two types of onsen water in the town, and it has also earned a reputation for purportedly helping boost women’s fertility by warming the body and improving blood circulation.
