In summer, guests can enjoy hiking, barbeques, and tennis at the hotel. In winter, the area draws visitors for winter sports and ice fishing on nearby Lake Baragi. Guests can also rent snowshoes to explore the trails. Palcall Tsumagoi Resort is just a three minute drive from the hotel, with sports in summer and a wide range of ski and snowboard runs in winter.
Rooms at Tsumagoi no Yado Aisai range from traditional Japanese style to western style, or a combination of the two. The hotel’s onsen baths draw natural spring water from Baragi Onsen. Traditional Japanese cuisine is served in the restaurant, using abundant natural ingredients including Tsumagoi’s famous cabbages. From October to May, guests can toast marshmallows around the lounge fireplace. Tsumagoi no Yado Asai is less than 30 minutes by car from Kusatsu Onsen.
