Open-air bathing surrounded by nature
Shima Seiryu no Yu is a public bath for day visitors to Shima Onsen. It combines Shima's main draws: mineral-rich onsen water and gorgeous natural scenery. Bathe in the open-air baths (rotenburo) for views of the neighboring mountains on the women's side and the Shima River on the men's side. The surrounding scenery changes with the seasons: lush green in spring and summer, fiery red in autumn, and snow-covered in winter. Large indoor baths are available for both men and women.
Shima Seiryu no Yu will be closed from Monday, May 11, through late July for renovations on the women's bathing area.
