Your base for the ultimate glamping getaway
In the foothills of Mt. Kojin is Mizunuma Village, a cluster of cottages, glamping grounds, restaurants, and sauna facilities, and the day-use hot spring facility Mizunuma no Yu Onsen—everything needed for a relaxing, nature-filled escape. Day-trippers are welcome to use the sauna facilities at Mori Sauna. Designed to resemble a large log cabin, Mori Sauna houses reservable barrel and wood-fired saunas, along with cold baths and lounging chairs, creating a space not only for intense heat sessions but also quiet contemplation while surrounded by nature.
For overnight stays, travelers choose between two accommodation types: spacious cottages or enclosed glamping units. Both options come with private sauna facilities and modern amenities for a comforting stay. Select glamping units are dog-friendly. Guests staying in either cottages or glamping units can also access Mizunuma no Yu Onsen, a day-use hot spring facility located about a three-minute walk from the village, where they can enjoy natural hot spring baths.
Some of the cottages include kitchenettes for simple meal preparation. Dining options within the village include Irori—a soba restaurant serving homemade buckwheat noodles—and Sycamore Cafe Terrace, known for generously sized pancake dishes and other sweets best enjoyed with a warm cup of coffee or tea.
