LUCY Ozehatomachi by Hoshino Resorts

Start or end a journey through Oze National Park at LUCY Ozehatomachi. Specially designed for nature enthusiasts eager to hop on the trail, the hotel provides important amenities, including lockers to store luggage, a 24-hour food and drink station, and a drying room. There are three types of accommodations: twin rooms ideal for couples, four-person rooms suited for families or small groups, and dormitory-style beds for solo travelers. All guests have access to shared bathroom and restroom facilities.

Meals can be enjoyed at the neighboring Hatomachi Base Cafe & Shop, a facility also operated by Hoshino Resorts, which houses a cafe space and a shop selling hiking goods and branded souvenirs. Their menu includes miso soup loaded with pork and vegetables—nourishing fare ideal before or after a day on the trails. The facility is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., but meals are served to guests staying at the hotel from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

LUCY Ozehatomachi is located at Hatomachi Pass, one of the main gateways to Oze National Park on the Gunma side. The trailhead begins directly in front of the facility, making it an exceptionally convenient base for hikers heading toward Ozegahara wetland. Many guests hike to the wetlands in the early morning, which are about 60 minutes away on foot, depending on the weather conditions. In between hikes, join a bear bell-making workshop and customize your own bear bells using colorful paracords.

LUCY Ozehatomachi operates seasonally and closes during the winter months, typically from around November to April, when the road to Hatomachi Pass is also closed due to snow.
