Koizumi Inari-jinja Shrine

小泉稲荷神社

Last updated: March 14, 2021

A shrine symbolized by many different sizes of torii gates

One of this shrine’s symbols is its especially large torii gate that stands 800 meters west of it. The gate is over 22 meters tall, making it the largest one in Gunma Prefecture. A variety of large and small torii gates numbering over 200 stand in front of the shrine, which is busy with many people seeking the blessing of a thriving business. The contrast of the cherry blossoms against the torii gates is a beautiful sight in early April, while stunning cosmos field blooms all around the Otorii gate in October.
