Thousands of fireworks light up Lake Haruna
Gather around Lake Haruna, a caldera lake on Mt. Haruna, to see 3,000 fireworks launched into the sky, silhouetting the mountain's peak.
The festival begins with people making wishes on lanterns which are released into the lake, this is followed by a fireworks display. The festival is known for "underwater fireworks," which are thrown into the water from a boat and then explode on the lake's surface.
