Large limestone caves with a Buddhist history

This limestone cave is the largest in the Kanto region at 2.2 kilometers long. A walk from one end to the other takes around 40 minutes.

The cave was first explored around 400 years ago by Buddhist monks, and many of the areas of the cave have Buddhist names, including the “500 arhats” stalagmites and “Yama's staff,” a column-like rock formation.
