Mt. Tanigawa's slopes are covered in deciduous forests that turn an array of colors throughout autumn. The best way to see the foliage is from the Tanigawadake Ropeway, which offers unrivaled panoramas of the area. Take a 15-minute ride on the ropeway, whisking you up the mountain to an elevation of 1,319 meters.

The foliage is at its peak during October.
