Kooze spreads out over the foothills of Mt. Hotaka
Tambara Wetlands spreads out over the western foothills of Mt. Hotaka-yama. Its forest of Japanese beech trees surrounds a 4.3-hectare wetlands called Kooze (small Oze) due to the rarity of its plants. In addition to viewing the skunk cabbage that typically blooms in mid-April, visitors can also enjoy the fall colors of the grass in autumn. Traveling the entire wooden walkway takes about an hour, giving you plenty of time to relax and enjoy the sights of nature.
