Make a wish by candelight

The snowy fields around Kita-Karuizawa Fureai Square are illuminated by 4,000 candles in intricate patterns in early February. The ceremony is held to pray for happiness in the new year.

Enjoy a taiko drum performance and fireworks that light up the winter evening. Buy a candle and write a wish, then add it to the illuminations.
